What a PoE 2 trade link does
A trade link points to either a filtered search or one public listing. A search helps compare a group of offers; a listing identifies one offer when the site provides a dedicated page. Tell the recipient which one you mean. A search is a set of criteria, not a promise that every player will see an identical result later.
Start from the official Path of Exile 2 trade site and check the domain before signing in or contacting a seller. A link is not a receipt or a price guarantee. The PoE 2 trade site guide covers the wider search and purchase workflow.
How to share a PoE 2 trade search link
Build a focused query on the official trade site, then copy the complete browser address. Do not shorten the path or rewrite unfamiliar parameters by hand; that can remove context or point elsewhere. If the page offers a dedicated share control, use its result and confirm it opens the expected search before sending it.
Before sharing, check that the search answers one question. A ring search with a useful life range is easier to compare than one with unrelated filters. Say whether you want a rough comparison, a modifier check, or a buying opinion. For a rare item, keep the defining base and important rolls; leave out filters that do not affect the decision.
- 1
Choose the league and item
Select the league and correct item family or base. Mention any variant that changes the comparison, such as a different item version or stack size.
- 2
Keep filters focused
Use only criteria that affect the question. If results are scarce, widen one condition at a time so the recipient can see what changed.
- 3
Copy the full address
Copy the browser URL after results load. Use a dedicated share control if the site provides one, and reopen the copied address once.
- 4
Explain the request
Include the league, currency, and what you want checked. Ask the recipient to confirm the filters and the visible item details.
How to share one item listing
A listing link is more specific than a search. Copy its full address when the official site provides a dedicated page. If it does not, send the broader search with the item name and league so the recipient can identify the row. Include a distinguishing modifier or variant when several offers look similar.
Offers can be sold, withdrawn, or repriced. Add when you checked the listing and ask the recipient to refresh it. If they cannot find it, do not assume the link proves a sale; ask for a current listing or search. For a broad comparison, review several similar offers; the PoE 2 Market guide explains how the in-game market differs from an external trade result.

Context to send with the URL
Name the league, item or search goal, and whether you want a price check, comparison, or purchase review. For one listing, include its displayed currency and quantity. If you are discussing a bulk offer, say whether the number is a total or a per-item amount.
Clarify units: total price, per-item price, and bulk ratio are different. For rare items, mention the rolls or variant that matter; a search does not prove an exact value. This helps the recipient avoid comparing a close but materially different item.
Example: “Standard league, rare ring search; compare the life and resistance range and tell me whether the listing still looks current.” Add when you refreshed it if timing matters. For a completed exchange, use the in-game trade window or available history instead of a search page.
- League and whether it is a search or listing.
- Item identity, relevant rolls, currency, and quantity.
- What to check and when you last refreshed the page.
| Link type | Useful context | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Search | League, item, key filters | The criteria and comparable offers still match |
| Listing | Item, currency, quantity | The offer is still present and details match |
| Guide | The question you need answered | It is advice, not a live offer or trade record |
How the recipient should verify a trade link
Check the official Path of Exile domain before signing in or contacting a seller. Stop if a shortened or unfamiliar URL asks for credentials, a download, or remote access. You can ask the sender to provide the full official address instead.
Confirm the league, item base, modifiers or variant, then read the currency and quantity. If the page differs, request a fresh link and compare the sender's note with the visible filters. Before accepting in game, inspect the actual item and currency in the trade window; cancel if either differs from what you agreed. See the PoE 2 price checker guide for listing comparisons.

Link safety, privacy, and stale pages
Share only the public URL needed for the question. Do not include passwords, cookies, recovery codes, or private session data. Leave unfamiliar parameters unchanged or rebuild the search on the official site; deleting part of a query can change its meaning.
Prefer a full official URL to a short link so the destination is visible. A trade should not require a third-party download, remote-control app, or account token. Never install a file just to view a listing.
Listings and search results change. Refresh before contacting a seller, and compare nearby offers when a price seems unusual. Treat urgency or a screenshot as a reason to verify, not as proof of an offer.
Fix a trade link that opens the wrong result
Reopen the original message and compare the URL, league, item, and filters with the sender's note. If a chat app shortened or cut off the address, request the complete URL instead of editing unfamiliar parameters. Check that the link was copied after the intended search loaded.
For an empty search, verify the item and league, then widen one filter at a time. A missing listing may have sold, expired, or changed. If only one row differs, ask for a fresh listing; if the official site itself will not load, use the trade site troubleshooting guide to separate a service issue from a stale link.
